The residential real estate market in the Denver metro area continued to improve in February, according to Metrolist. The agency reports the measure for resale condos increased 2.0% from January and 9.87% from February 2009 to post 523. However, the measure of 1,913 single-family detached home resales is an increase of 3.9% from January and a decrease of 4.7% from the year-ago measure. Additionally, the under-contract measure posted year-over-year gains of 15.0% to 955 for condos and 3.0% to 3,459 for houses, and relative to the previous month are respective increases of 18.0% and 20.0%. The average price also increased for both sectors, with the resale condo market notching an increase of 20.2% from the year-ago measure and 5.4% from the previous month to post $166,206 and the resale home market clocking respective increases of 13.8% and 3.5% to post $269,688.
